
Psychologist
Holly is a general psychologist who is passionate about providing care and support to young people and their families. She provides a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental approach to working collaborative with people through all stages of the mental health journey. Holly strongly believes that while she may have good understanding of mental health, each individual is unique and should feel in charge of their own recovery. As such, her approach is very open, gentle and focuses on supporting you to live the life you want.
Holly has worked within a specialised eating disorder clinic, and in acute mental health care. In these settings she has treated a variety of presentations including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorders. She has also provided therapeutic interventions focused around parent-child relational difficulties and attachment disorders. Holly also has expertise working with developmental disorders including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, intellectual disabilities, and Autistic individuals.Holly is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Risk management and safety planning, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Informed Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Systemic Family Therapy and Family Based Therapy (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E).
Holly likes to work very closely with her clients to develop a treatment plan that best suits their specific therapeutic goals.
She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists inc (AAPi). She has a Bachelor degree (with Honours) and a Post-Graduation Diploma of Professional Psychology (Masters of Professional Psychology), both awarded from the University of Southern Queensland.
Holly works with clients where telehealth is available, working with young people aged 14 and above, and adults.
